Laura Albers Joins RedSky Strategy

Laura Albers proudly joins RedSky Strategy as Managing Director at the boutique marketing strategy consultancy.

 

Laura’s passion for connection combined with a deep curiosity to understand “the why’s” of human behavior make her a natural fit at RedSky Strategy. As Managing Director she brings over a decade of experience as a qualitative researcher and brand strategist to expand RedSky’s powerful market research and strategic consulting capabilities. 

Laura likes to say her keys to success are listening deeply and connecting authentically. Through that approach, she has helped companies increase their relevance and grow their brands with actionable insights across a breadth of categories including beauty, CPG, consumer technology, telecommunications, automotive, food & beverage, and cannabis and hemp. 

Beginning early in her career Laura was fascinated by how people, culture and brands can successfully intersect. She got her start as an Emmy award winning television host for the WB network in St. Louis, MO while earning her BA in Photography. Her marketing career took off after completing a Master’s in Marketing and Advertising Communications and becoming a strategic brand planner working at global ad agencies including McCann NY and TBWA\ Chiat Day in Los Angeles. There, she says, is “where I learned how critical the need is for the voice of the consumer to be represented to transform and elevate brands in the hearts and minds of people.”

Since 2013, she’s worked with clients such as L’Oreal, Verizon, Lexus, Fabletics, Target and Suja as an independent qualitative researcher and brand strategy consultant. In 2019, she co-founded Oasis Intelligence, a niche firm dedicated to consumer insights for the global cannabis and hemp industry, and sister company to RedSky Strategy. It was through this process it became apparent Laura’s human-centric ethos was an ideal match to also merge with RedSky Strategy.

Laura adds significantly to RedSky’s full-service qualitative research and strategic offerings delivering evidence-based, actionable insights for clients. Specifically she expands RedSky’s qualitative capabilities of traditional and digital methodologies including in-depth interviews, focus groups, mobile ethnographies, and agile approaches as well as bringing forward new areas of expertise in Influencer Discovery Sessions (co-creation with influencers) and Experiential Research (event curation with integrated qual/quant components).
